Select a Study Area
Our research spans key regions along the Pacific Coast, including the Columbia Basin and selected sites in Oregon, Washington, and California. Study areas include major river estuaries, coastal wetlands, and inland water bodies that support colonies of Caspian terns, double-crested cormorants, American white pelicans, and several species of gull. These sites are carefully selected to represent a range of habitats where piscivorous waterbirds interact with juvenile salmonids, allowing us to monitor population trends, feeding behaviors, and the impacts of avian predation on fish recovery efforts.
